Accreditation Statement

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This is the highest level of recognition awarded by ANCC’s Accreditation Program and has been granted to APIC through March 31, 2024.

Process for Obtaining Continuing Education Credit

  • Eligible attendees may receive up to 15 continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hour(s) for participating in this activity.
  • To receive CNE contact hours, attendees must:
    • Be registered as a participant.
    • Attend each session in its entirety
    • Complete the conference session evaluations within 30 days. After satisfying all evaluation requirements, a certificate of completion will be available to print and/or for your records indicating contact hours.
  • Please note that not all sessions are eligible for credit.

Infection Prevention Units (IPUs)

  • One Infection Prevention Unit (IPU) is defined as one hour of time spent on an educational experience. The APIC 2022 Cleaning, Disinfection, and Sterilization Conference (CDS) provides the opportunity to earn 10 IPUs for attending the conference. 
  • Please note that IPUs are only provided for sessions that are a minimum of one hour. Any session less than an hour would not be eligible for credit.
  • You must complete the session evaluations available on the CDS conference evaluation platform for each session attended (whether live or on-demand) by February 28, 2023, to receive your certificate of completion.
